Yeah-ha-ma

The male presence of the land Yeah-ha-ma provides an ever widening smile as the horizon comes into view from an elevated perch of a ”Michigan“ summit. Long ago even before the glaciers settled in there existed a point in space that also had a presence upon the Earth. Ancient memory here on Peach Mountain holds a story of the frequented gatherings of folks to commune and celebrate common sensibilities in a more co-creative manifestation. There continues to be a vibrational tuning of the land that harmonizes with the original frequency intoned. The land through Nature's own sentience offers respite to the human sensibilities.

Soaking in the view and the miles of tree covered horizon brings another tuning to the heart! A room with a view in three directions and the fourth a secluded back woods nestle amongst the tall pines. Steps away from Stinchfield woods trails this setting has opportunities for that immediate recreating walk or jog after the days responsibilities have turned personal. This house has two pods with the first in front of the pines which holds the decompression areas from the worlds weariness. Garage, mud room, workshop, office, recreation room, kitchen all intermingle with the public face of the families life. Somewhere in the rear of a closet a door opens and ”voila“ a glassed in porch leads to the bedrooms and bathing spaces. Tucked into the hillside each room back here has a different kind of view.

Designed with thermal glass, the visible house allows for solar supplement to the radiant floor heating wisely intended to warm the soles! Thoughtfully positioned the house has provisions for the future innovations of another horizon. A widows walk exists at the top allowing for a n open air porch near treetop and a new perch for those with the wings!
